Shooting
In Tacoma, Washi., the Army is seeking the death penalty in the court martial of a Fort Lewis soldier accused of killing 2 people in a car outside a Lakewood pub.
Jamaal Lewis, 22, who grew up in the Washington, D.C., area is accused in the shooting deaths last September of another soldier and a soldier's wife during a robbery. Jason Jowers and Crystal Hurley-McDowell died at the scene.
Pierce County prosecutors turned the case over to the Army because Lewis, witnesses and the victims all had military ties.
