A San Antonio man who is scheduled to die by lethal injection has been granted a hearing 5 days before his execution date.
A judge is scheduled to hear arguments July 14 from lawyers representing Mauriceo Brown, who was convicted in the capital murder death of Michael Lahood Jr. in 1995.
Brown's lawyer will introduce DNA evidence at the hearing, which he says will exonerate his client.
Brown is scheduled to be executed July 19.
