Fred Allen, a guard who participated in executions in Texas, attributed his nervous breakdown and retirement from the prison service to the stress endured while putting people to death, in an interview. "All of a sudden something just triggered in me, and I started shaking... my wife asked 'What's the matter?' And I said 'I don't feel good.' And tears, uncontrollable tears, was coming out of my eyes and I said 'I just thought about that execution that I did two days ago, and everybody else's that I was involved in... all of these executions just sprung forward." find more quotes here: people.freenet.de/dpinfo/lawenforcement.htm
