2 brothers have been charged with capital murder in a 1999 fire that killed the ex-wife of one of the men as well as her 1-year-old daughter, police said today.
William Mark Gibson, 29, was arrested Friday and remained in the McLennan County Jail today, Waco Police Detective Steve January said. Steven Gibson, 26, is in a state prison on an unrelated conviction.
William Mark Gibson and Janie Rios, 23, divorced earlier in 1999. Her daughter, Abby Gail Rios, also died in the blaze that officials said was deliberately set.
January declined to say what led officers to bring charges against the pair in the deaths.
