A federal judge has stayed the execution of 74-year-old convicted killer John Albert Boltz.
Boltz's attorneys have contended Oklahoma's method of lethal injection is unconstitutionally cruel and unusual. Boltz was sentenced to die for the stabbing death of his stepson in 1984.
